Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Spring Class Schedule

This eight-week program is designed to help reduce the stress in life that may also contribute to stress related illnesses.  It is designed for caregivers, patients and students alike.  The course consists of weekly two hour classes and a Saturday retreat.

This highly participatory program includes:

  • Guided instruction in Mindfulness meditation practices
  • Gentle stretching exercises and mindful yoga
  • Educational discussion on various aspects of stress and wellness
  • Daily home assignments

When:
Wednesdays, 6:30pm-8:30pm, April 25 - June 13
             Orientation, April 16 6:30pm-8:30pm

Mindful Living - Conscious Living
MBSR Alumni Class

This six week course is an invitation to come together to deepen our practice and explore the seven attitudinal foundations of mindfulness known to enrich physical, mental and
emotional health. We will draw upon the practical neuroscience of happiness, wisdom, compassion and love, based on the work of neuropsychologists, Rick Hanson, PhD and meditation teachers and authors, James Baraz and Sharon Salzberg.

The class includes:
-Weekly 1-1/2 hour classes
-Guided Mindfulness meditation practice
-Guided loving kindness meditation
-Weekly discussion period
-Saturday retreat

 When:  Tuesdays, 6:30pm - 8:00pm, April 10 - May 15

Prerequisite: Completed at least one type of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Class
