This eight-week program is designed to benefit anyone who wants to be able to handle stress more effec-tively and to enhance personal coping skills. MBSR will teach you how to consciously and methodically deal with stress, pain, illness and the demanding challenges of everyday life. Don Maurer, MD is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. He is trained in MBSR and lectures on mindfulness and stress reduction. He has attended training for Health Professionals with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and other senior faculty of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School
