A special presentation from the Longhurst Laboratory. Open to the public - come see what these high school students are learning!
Extraordinary summer activities in the Longhurst research laboratory have been attributed by four students from St Margaret's Episcopal School. They have learned many physiological, pharmacological and neurophysiological concepts and participated in numerous scientific processes. The junior scientists have been engaged in studies that investigate the actions of electroacupuncture on blood pressure regulation as well as cardiac reflex responses including experimental heart attacks. The individual projects are related to cardiovascular function and acupuncture.
