Mindfulness has been shown in numerous studies to help many clinical conditions and more recently, when applied to eating, also shows measurable changes in many aspects of health and weight. The course will include instruction in mindfulness meditation, mindful eating, conscious food choices, mindful movement, awareness of eating patterns and triggers, and effective ways to cope with stress and emotions. Each class will include a significant component of mindfulness practice as well as instructional material.

About the Instructor:  Beth Mulligan, PA-C
Beth Mulligan has practiced as a Physician Assistant for 25 years and lectures widely on stress physiology and stress reduction. She currently teaches mindfulness courses at various locations throughout southern California where she trains physicians, nurses, therapists and patients in these stress reduction techniques.
