Mindfulness Programs and Schedule 


Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction is an evidence-based program designed to teach you how to take better care of yourself through mindfulness. People come to MBSR dealing with a wide range of conditions, including illness, chronic pain, or simply stress from their busy lives.  The course offers intensive training in relaxation techniques, meditation, gentle Yoga-based stretching, lectures in various aspects of health and wellness, and supportive group discussions. The emphasis on Mindfulness, which simply means paying attention in a non-judgmental way to each moment, offers a practical way to apply these methods in everyday life. The course was developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. It is now taught in some 300 hospitals and medical centers worldwide.

Beginning Mindfulness, 4 week course, introduces mindfulness in both traditional and modern terms. The focus is on experiential learning, emphasizing that mindfulness can be practiced anytime, anywhere, in any circumstance. This approach to mindfulness is about recognizing that we already have the capacity to be fully present and aware in the moment.  All that’s required is simply paying attention, in a particular way.  This course is for anyone interested in beginning mindfulness, or beginning again.

Mindful Parenting is an innovative 6 week program that integrates positive parenting strategies with simple mindfulness practices to help parents with children of all ages. manage stress and parent more effectively.  If you would like to learn new parenting techniques, nurture the self, and put the joy back into parenting, come join us in a supportive environmentto learn how to parent the mindful way.
